Dental Assistant

Job Number: CFHC-DENTAL-210-02

Number of Hours: Full-time

Location: Calumet, MI

Description: Supports dental care delivery by preparing the following; treatment room, prepares patient for treatment, maintains instruments and equipment and materials. Aid dentist in passing instruments and materials while treating patients. Performs other duties as in compliance with the dental practice act.  Communicates professionally and effectively with patients or parents if patient is a child.  Aids in duties at the front desk as needed.  

Education, Training, Licensing and Credentialing

Required:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Prior work experience in customer service position
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and human relations skills

Preferred:

  • Certification from a recognized Dental Assistant program

  • Completion of X-Ray certification

  • Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Michigan 

  • Six (6) months work experience in a dental clinic
