Patient Service Representative

Number of Hours: Irregular Part-time
Location: Gwinn, MI
Description: Provide administrative support, performs clerical and customer service functions, as well as non-technical duties in the clinic. Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers. Checks patients in and out, obtaining necessary documentation. Schedules patient appointments.
Required Education, Training, Certification/Licensure and Experience:
- High school graduate and one year clerical experience -OR- one year business/specialized training
- Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to multi-task and set priorities
Preferred
- Post high school business/specialized training, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
- 1-2 years in healthcare setting
- Keyboard experience
- Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Calculator, Fax Machine, Personal computer, Photocopier experience
- Charge care verifier
- Answer telephone system
- Communication skills
- Adaptable to change
- Enhanced customer service skills
