medical providers and counselors in one organization.

MEDICAL: From minor illnesses and injuries to complex chronic health conditions, our talented team of medical providers and specialists care for people of all ages. We have one goal. To help you manage your health to live healthier and happier.

DENTAL: Your oral health is an important part of your “total body health.” Oral disease increases an individual’s risk for heart disease and stroke. In addition, studies show a relationship between diabetes and oral disease.

BEHAVIORAL: Many people experience stress and anxiety, which makes it hard to be happier at home, work and school. Some have substance abuse problems that can affect your well-being. Upper Great Lakes’ professional therapists and counselors can help you learn to cope with life’s challenges through one-on-one sessions in a familiar setting.

Our care team treats common physical illnesses and conditions. Many clinics have same-day appointments available. Walk-in service is welcome but patients may have a wait.

All UGL clinics provide basic minor injury so you can save a trip to the emergency room.  Call ahead — we cannot treat deep cuts, aggressive burns and broken bones.

Struggling with depression, stress, or anxiety? Our behavioral health care team can help you make positive changes so you can better manage stress, foster resilience, and live a happier life.

We offer Flu and  COVID-19 immunization shots to keep you and your university community healthy. We also have immunizations available that are recommended by Michigan Tech.

UGL offers telehealth visits as a convenience to students. UGL may recommend or require a telehealth appointment for services if you currently have certain symptoms.

Start the season with a comprehensive sports physical. Even if you don’t have a primary care provider, you may visit the UGL clinic for a pre-season wellness exam.

UGL offers walk-in hours for sports injuries every Monday from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. during the school year.

UGL can do blood draws and pull samples on site and send them to labs for fast-turn analysis. We partner with UP Health System – Portage to provide on-site imaging and lab services, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
