Shayna Orlich, NP-C, Joins Team of Family Medicine Providers at UGL’s Gwinn Family Health Center

GWINN, MI – Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UGL) welcomes Shayna Orlich, Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP-C), to their team of family medicine providers at the Gwinn Family Health Center.

Orlich was born in Escanaba, MI, and is a Yooper through and through. She attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Frontier Nursing University out of Hyden, KY. Orlich is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Michigan Nurses Association, and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She also received the Employee of the Year award from UP Health System – Marquette in 2015.

Orlich’s goal is to help patients feel their happiest and healthiest. “We as providers have the ethical responsibility to care for patients and families with the highest order of compassion utilizing evidence-based practice,” she says. Shayna’s interests include Acute and Chronic Illness Management, Pediatric Wellness, Preventive Care, and Wellness Education.

Orlich looks forward to continuing her work in the Upper Peninsula. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
