Number of Hours:  .1 (8 hours bi-weekly)

Location:  Gwinn, MI

Description:  Transcribes routine letters, medical reports and other recorded data using transcribing equipment and typewriter or word processing equipment.  Maintain clinic patient medical records. 

Required Education, Training, Certification/Licensure and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year specialized training in medical terminology or transcription
  • 1-2 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist
  • Completion of an advanced terminology course, medical transcription course or medical secretary course, preferred
  • Completion of a medical secretary or medical transcription program, preferred
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT), preferred

Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UGL) is a Federally Qualified Health Center and is a Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Deemed Facility.
