DENTAL: Your oral health is an important part of your “total body health.” Oral disease increases an individual’s risk for heart disease and stroke. In addition, studies show a relationship between diabetes and oral disease.
BEHAVIORAL: Many people experience stress and anxiety, which makes it hard to be happier at home, work and school. Some have substance abuse problems that can affect your well-being. Upper Great Lakes’ professional therapists and counselors can help you learn to cope with life’s challenges through one-on-one sessions in a familiar setting.
Dental Health Services
Exams
Exams are the best way to stop tooth decay and prevent oral diseases from getting worse. You’ll receive a cleaning to remove plaque and tartar and an oral exam of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Some visits may include x-rays.
X-Rays
The dentist may take x-rays of your teeth to check for areas of decay and bone loss not visible during a routine exam. We typically take x-rays once per year.
Fluoride Varnishes & Sealants
Tooth Extractions
If you have severe decay, impacted teeth, periodontal disease, alignment issues or have experienced tooth trauma, our dental team will evaluation your condition and perform an extraction if necessary.
Dentures
We can restore your smile and prevent remaining teeth from shifting by fitting you for partial or complete dentures. We’ll work together to create a plan that works for you.
Fillings & Crowns
UGL can help you alleviate dental pain by repairing cavities and strengthening teeth with fillings and crowns.

Need Assistance With Your Health Care? Qualifying patients may receive reduced cost prescriptions and fees for UGL services not covered by insurance. Apply for our Sliding Fee Program.
Multiple Insurances Accepted: UGL participates with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid HMOs such as Upper Peninsula Health Plan (UPHP), Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tricare and many other insurance programs. Please bring your insurance card to your appointment.
