IN-SCHOOL WELLNESS SERVICE
The Gremlins Wellness Center is a collaboration of the Houghton-Portage Township Schools and Upper Great Lakes Family Health supported through funding form the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). With parental/guardian consent, our Physician Assistant (PA) and Licensed Behavioral Health Provider can provider healthcare conveniently within the Houghton Middle/High School. This allows for ease of access, fewer disruptions of regular routines and less loss of class time. Our goal is to help improve the health and well-being of all students. Healthy students are better equipped for school success.

The Gremlins Wellness Center does not provide distribution or prescribing of birth control pills or devices. Abortion counseling, referrals or services are not provided.

A provider is on-call after hours, on weekends and during holidays. For urgent after hours needs for family practice call (906) 372-3025. For after hours needs for OB/GYN or Pediatrics please call (906) 483-1000.
