CALUMET, MI – Brynn Carlson, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) has joined the team of behavioral health providers at Upper Great Lakes Calumet Family Health Center (UGL).
Brynn was born in Neenah, WI and lived there for several years before moving to the Copper Country when she was in second grade. She graduated from Calumet High School and then went on to study nursing at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, MI. Brynn earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Gogebic and then her Master of Science in Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric-Metal Health Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University in Addison, IL.
In her practice, Brynn focuses on anxiety, depression, ADHD, schizophrenia, and behavioral health patients with co-occurring SUD/MAT. Brynn has various certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and Basic Suture.
During her free time, Brynn likes to take advantage of the outdoors – golfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Brynn is looking forward to working at UGL and improving access to mental health care for the community she grew up in.
