HOUGHTON COUNTY – Pregnancy and childbirth are monumental moments in a woman’s life, and every woman deserves safe, supportive care when bringing new life into the world. However, access to quality maternal care can be limited in some rural areas. Upper Great Lakes Family Health is addressing this by expanding their midwifery and OB/GYN services, bringing expert care to the Keweenaw.

Christiann Rosemurgy, CNM, WHNP-BC, and Taylor Landers, CNM, have joined the Upper Great Lakes Women’s Health team. They join Ashley Chamberlain, CNM, and Dr. Evon Schexnaydre, OB/GYN, forming the Upper Great Lakes Women’s Health team. Bailey Patrick, Chief Operating Officer at Upper Great Lakes, expressed excitement about the new additions. “Upper Great Lakes is deeply committed to investing in and providing the essential health services that our local community needs.
