Upper Great Lakes Family Health is proud to recognize Matthew Summers, IT Support Specialist, as the first recipient of the Superior Spotlight Award.

The Superior Spotlight Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond in supporting their coworkers, patients, and organization while making a positive impact across UGL.

Matthew was nominated by multiple coworkers who highlighted his technical expertise, responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to always step in and help others. Nominations described him as dependable, approachable, and someone who consistently makes employees feel supported throughout the process, even during stressful situations.

“Matthew is always willing to help and takes the time to make sure issues are fully resolved,” one nomination shared. “He communicates clearly, follows through, and makes people feel comfortable asking questions.”

Another coworker noted Matthew’s positive attitude and dedication to supporting staff across the organization, sharing that he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure employees have the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively.

As an IT Support Specialist, Matthew plays an important role in helping keep daily operations running smoothly across UGL locations. His behind-the-scenes work, responsiveness, and commitment to helping others have made a meaningful impact throughout the organization.
