Upper Great Lakes Family Health is proud to welcome Devyn Dempsey, DO, to our Hancock OB/GYN Clinic, expanding access to obstetric and gynecologic care for patients across the Copper Country.

Dr. Dempsey graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a physiology emphasis. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021 and recently completed her residency training at MSU’s OB/GYN residency program at McLaren Greater Lansing.

“I am very excited and grateful to be returning to the Upper Peninsula,” said Dempsey. “After falling in love with the area during my undergraduate studies and meeting my husband, who is a UP native, it has been a dream of ours to return to the area to continue building our careers and contribute meaningfully to the growth and well-being of the community. I was drawn to this position largely due to its FQHC status, and I am passionate about providing quality, accessible care to all.”

Dr. Dempsey provides a full range of women’s health services including preventive gynecologic exams, cervical cancer screening, comprehensive obstetric care and family planning. She is specially trained in robotic gynecologic surgery and offers contraceptive management options including hormonal, non-hormonal, and long-acting reversible contraceptives such as IUDs and implants. She also has a personal interest in urogynecology.

Outside of work, Dr. Dempsey enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, and trying new cuisine. She also loves yoga, hiking, biking, kayaking, and skiing.
